Well, the time has come to start raising money for the Patriots football team. Our first fundraiser is one of our major ones. Community Presbyterian in Moody is having their annual missions yard sale on May 31st, and we have the concession stand.
We will be offering breakfast and lunch items, as well as snacks. The day will be broken into three 4-hour shifts. (6am-10am, 10am-2pm, 2pm-6pm) Be sure to sign up quickly to get the shift that you prefer. The first shift will be doing the most cooking, and the third shift will be doing more cleaning.
For a donation, we are also offering the strong backs of our players to carry and load items for yard sale customers. If you can think of any other ways to make money at the sale, please let us know.
We will also be starting our candy bar sales and cell phone collections, two of our minor fundraisers. The candy bars are to be sold for $1 a piece and can be picked up at Community on the 31st. The cell phone and cell phone battery collection will be an ongoing fundraiser. Turn them in to Kim Poston as you collect them. We will be paid for every phone and/or cell phone battery, regardless of the condition. We do NOT take other accessory items, such as chargers, covers, etc.
We are looking forward to seeing you on May 31st. To sign up for a shift in the concession stand or to offer other fundraising ideas, contact Kim Poston at kimmipeach@gmail.com.

Our Meeting
Hello, hello, hello! Don't forget our meeting next week on April 7th, 7pm at Community in Moody. We will be in the building behind the gym. This will be the last day to turn in your paperwork in order to be eligible for Spring Camp. Don't forget to let us know by April 5th if you are coming or not so that we know how much food and drink to get.
We are looking forward to seeing all of our returning players and meeting all of our new guys too. This is a meeting for parents and players. Coach Vince will be talking to you, letting you know what to expect from him and what he will expect from you. Please, invite any potential players that you know. We will have registration packets at the meeting for newcomers.

2008 Football Registration
The registration forms for the 2008 football season are ready. If you want them or know someone who does, email me at kimmipeach@gmail.com. As soon as I get your email, I will send them to you as an attachment. This is how we are getting the forms out this year, instead of handing out the packets.
We are really excited at the response that we have already gotten. A lot of the players from last year are returning, and we have many potential new players. Please, keep in mind that you are not considered a player and will not be fitted with equipment until you have turned in ALL paperwork and the Spring Camp fee. These are due no later than April 7th. If we do not have at least 16 people signed up by then, we will NOThave a team for the 2008 season.
We will be doing a lot of team fundraising over the summer months, so be prepared for that. You are more than welcome to do independent fundraising to cover the cost of your fees. If you have any ideas for private or team fundraising, please share them with us. We can use all the help we can get.

Spring Camp
We are a sports organization for homeschool kids, ages 12-18. We are having Spring Camp for boys’ tackle football, April 14th-26th with a possible third week, depending on when the scrimmage games are scheduled. Camp will be at Community Presbyterian in Moody. The cost for the camp is $100. This will be refunded if your son completes the 2008 football season for the East Central Patriots. There is also a $50 per family per year membership fee to join ECHOS. The paperwork and fee are due no later than April 7th at the parents/team/coaches meeting. This will take place at Community also. The fall registration fee for football is $100. This is nonrefundable and due before the first of August. For more information, email me at kimmipeach@gmail.com.
